The Youth Media Alliance (YMA) wishes to develop a bold new international market designed to position Canada as a global destination for high-quality children’s and youth media content and to create new business opportunities for Canadian creators, producers, studios and broadcasters / streamers.
KIMS will be the only international market in Canada dedicated exclusively to children’s and youth media content, bringing together international buyers, co- production partners and Canadian companies in one highly curated, business-driven environment. At a time when many small and mid-sized Canadian companies can no longer afford to attend large international markets, KIMS will bring the world to them — while simultaneously elevating Canada’s profile as a powerhouse for kids content.
An exceptional group of Canadian and international kids’ media leaders will help shape the inaugural KIMS Canada program
The Advisory Board is chaired by Athena Georgaklis and Maria Kennedy, YMA Co-Presidents who will work to help guide the development of KIMS Canada 2027.
