The objective of this initiative would be to create new business opportunities for Canadian creators, producers, studios and broadcasters. The event would aim to bring together Canadian companies and international partners in a focused environment in Canada designed to encourage collaboration, co-production, and global distribution.
Building on an already strong reputation, such an event could help strengthen Canada’s role as a hub for innovation, partnerships, and creative leadership in kids’ content.
Before moving forward, the YMA is launching a feasibility study and working with Nordicity to assess the potential for such an initiative. As part of this process, the organization will be consulting with the industry through a short survey to better understand interest, needs, and priorities.
Your perspective will be important in helping determine whether and how this initiative should move forward. Input from creators, producers, broadcasters, distributors, and partners will play a key role in shaping the next steps.
At a time when the sector is undergoing significant transformation worldwide, the YMA believes that opportunities remain for the industry to continue connecting, collaborating, and building the future of children’s content together.
Stay tuned — more information about the survey and consultation process will be shared soon.
