Montréal, February 11, 2026 — The Youth Media Alliance (YMA) is pleased to announce that Johane Landry will serve as Jury President and will preside over the deliberations of the Prix d’Excellence jury. More than 40 jurors have agreed to evaluate submissions across 19 award categories.
Montréal, February 11, 2026 — The Youth Media Alliance (YMA) is pleased to announce that Johane Landry will serve as Jury President and will preside over the deliberations of the Prix d’Excellence jury. More than 40 jurors have agreed to evaluate submissions across 19 award categories.
Johane Landry has built an outstanding career in children’s television. In 2001, she transitioned into youth production after several years hosting public affairs and variety programs. She quickly distinguished herself by leading the strategic shift of the former Canal Famille, producing landmark programs such as Réal-IT, RÉAL-TV and R-FORCE.
In 2006, Johane joined VRAK.TV, then owned by Astral Media, as Director of Acquisitions. She rapidly rose through the ranks to become Director of Acquisitions and Original Productions, playing a key role in the development and oversight of numerous hit series, including KARV, l’anti-gala, VRAK la vie, Le chalet, Jérémie, MED, Max et Livia, Pour toujours, plus un jour and CLASH, among others.
In 2018, she was appointed by Dany Meloul, Chief Brand Officer and Head of Fiction for all Bell Media properties, and greenlit several critically acclaimed productions. In 2020, she joined Télé-Québec’s youth programming team as Head of Content, reuniting with her longtime collaborator, Marysol Charbonneau. Throughout her career, Johane Landry has established herself as a leading and influential figure in children’s television, recognized for her strategic vision and expertise that continue to shape the Canadian broadcasting landscape.
The nominations for the Prix d’Excellence will be announced in March.
The Gala will celebrate the best Canadian children’s productions on May 26, 2026, in Montreal, at the Cinéma du Musée amphitheatre – the Maxwell-Cummings Auditorium at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Each year, 16 to 20 Prix d’Excellence awards are presented. More than 200 industry professionals will join YMA to celebrate the talent, passion and creativity of Canadian professionals working in French-language children’s and youth media. This evening is an unforgettable event for everyone involved and for all those who support YMA’s mission through their commitment to the youth media community.
