Montreal, October 28, 2025 – The Youth Media Alliance (YMA) is delighted by the launch, by Radio-Canada, of two new continuous digital streaming channels dedicated to young audiences: the “Jeunesse” channel and the “L’Agent Jean!” channel, now available free of charge and ad-free on ICI TOU.TV; and by CBC’s launch of a new ad-free CBC Kids streaming channel, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, now accessible on CBC Gem and the CBC Kids YouTube channel.

This new commitment by Radio-Canada and CBC to youth audiences represents a major step forward in promoting homegrown content among young viewers. By offering a safe, intuitive, and ad-free environment, these channels allow children to discover high-quality educational and entertaining programming while supporting Canadian creators, artists, and craftspeople.

The YMA warmly congratulates Radio-Canada and CBC for these forward-looking initiatives, which strengthen the presence and discoverability of Canadian children’s content on digital platforms while upholding the mission to educate, entertain, and showcase local creators.

“We need to meet young audiences where they are — on platforms. The launch of these new youth channels from Radio-Canada and CBC is a concrete response to that reality: it helps position Canadian content more strongly in the digital landscape and gives it the visibility it deserves within the online environments where young people spend time — whether that’s YouTube, Disney+, or these new Jeunesse and Agent Jean platforms. We must work with all these platforms to elevate Canadian kids’ channels.”— Athena Georgaklis, Co-President of the Youth Media Alliance
